January 29, 2022

No doubt many of you have heard about the personal attacks on Daoud and Daher Nassar that took place on the Nassar family farm/Tent of Nations on the morning of Friday, January 28. Several masked men came onto the property and brutally beat Daoud and Daher, sending them both to the hospital for an overnight stay. While we are relieved that their injuries were not life threatening, we do not know how debilitating these injuries will be for the Nassars.

We suggest that if you want the most current information about the Nassar brothers’ recovery and about the circumstances surrounding the attack on the farm, that you visit our website at: https://fotonna.org – Updates. We will continue to provide these updates to our website as we get the latest information from Daoud, and there will be a new report on Monday, January 31.

In the meantime, we are still maintaining our plans for the ZOOM interview organized by Michael Spath (Indiana Center for Middle East Peace) scheduled for Monday, February 7, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. (EST) about the book: “The Stories I Never Knew” – Acts of Loving Kindness. You will also, most likely, be hearing about the latest news from Daoud about the recent attacks.

We feel that now, more than ever, the message of “hope” is desperately needed by all of us who support the struggle for greater human rights and dignity for not only the Nassar family but also for the many workers for justice on both sides of the wall. The message of our book is timely and supports not only the Nassar family farm/Tent of Nations, but it also supports all the other opportunities to transform violence into forgiveness and reconciliation in the region.

If you have not yet done so, please join us by registering through the link below.

Thanks – Bill Plitt
