Dear Friends,
I want you to know how you and many from around the world encouraged us in the days before the September 6th re-registration hearing. Your prayers and messages of support lifted our spirits.
During the hearing the Committee heard two more of our witnesses. Both of them provided very strong evidence about our ownership of the land. One, a 95 year old man, was questioned for 2.5 hours. He knew my father and uncle, and provided details about their ownership and work on the land back to 1930: Another hearing is scheduled for the 4th of December 2023 at which the Committee will hear my witness and that of a land expert. Please keep us in your prayers.
While the legal struggle continues to take a good deal of our energy, we continue to focus on our vision, and to transform our pain into a constructive power that will make a big difference. We are right now in the middle of the grape and fig harvest season. Please know we welcome visitors and volunteers; and make sure that the everyday work of harvest, watering, and -repair of the land continues; and that we continue to dream towards our goals of self-sufficiency and sustainability. We are grateful for your presence with us and for all your prayers and solidarity.
We will keep you posted. Thank you so much for accompanying us on this very long journey for justice.
And our journey continues with faith, love and hope.
